Since 1993, our centre in downtown Ottawa has extended an open invitation to people of all faith and non-faith affiliations to understand Islam in the spirit of mutual understanding and interfaith harmony. Weact as a resource centre for government agencies, the media, academic institutions and religious groups. We can sponsor public lectures at universities, high schools or other faith based organizations. We supply public libraries with Islamic books, and the general public. Our central location and community activities make us the first stop for anyone seeking information regarding Islam.
Our culturally-sensitive professional services are available to members of every community and every faith and non-faith affiliation.
Confidentiality is of the utmost importance to Muslim Family Services of Ottawa, Islam Care’s daughter organization. It is an integral component of the services provided through the Muslim Community Counselling and Psychotherapy Hub. All information discussed in sessions will be kept confidential, with the exception of certain specific legal and ethical limits
