Often we tend to abandon our beloved youth in times which they are most in need with the notion that they must learn to be independent. We want them to be self reliant and be able to manage their difficulties all on their own. This often causes youth to tread a path that is disconnected with the public and binds them into a culture of “every man for himself”. Although as important as self reliance and independence may be, we believe that our youth need our help and guidance throughout their lives.
The majority of Muslim youth experience a culture clash when integrating with society. Their values, experiences and outlook on life may differ from their cultural standards at home and in their families. This may cause a gap of misunderstandings between the separated generations. Islam Care Centre understands the needs of youth and has available experienced mentors to assist youth in solving issues or problems. Would you like to sign up for mentorship?
